Capturing the sensation of light falling on a vast landscape has long been an intriguing and dynamic aspect of Mary’s paintings. Billowing clouds are also a reminder of the immense forces of nature, and our difficulty in grasping, let alone dealing with the causes of global warming. In her latest works the harvest blown dust spirals and cloudscapes also remind us of the beauty and magnificence of the natural world.
