May News

Dear Readers,

Spring light has filled Wightman Gallery this past week. This week has brought a host of new readers that have joined our community of art lovers and as we build our creative community at Compass Courtyard, it has been a joy to meet everyone of you that has stepped into the gallery space to see what is here, talk about artworks on view, and welcome Art in conversation. More on this another time.

Carved Stone Dogs by
Josephine Crossland

It is not surprising that a Nation of dog lovers adorned two national newspapers last week. The first being the front cover of The Scotsman (see right), the second Page 2 of the Telegraph. Regarding the artworks themselves, there were three carvings of the dogs in total. Two have now sold, but there is one left (see above) in the collection. To Enquire please email wightmangallery@gmail.com

Potters of the Week!

Taster throwing class

Duncan and Candice were our first couple to try the Taster Throwing Class. A Birthday treat given to Candice by her fun husband Duncan. We loved teaching both of them, neither had much experience, and only remembered the odd class during school days. In 4 weeks time they will have some home made bowls to remember Candice's birthday. To Enquire about classes for Adults and Children please look at our booking link below to see current class options
